Is there any difference between Karma Kanda and Sakama Karma or both one and same
Hare Krishna
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
In Karma kanda, there is no ultimate eternal goal but the focus is only to get better material enjoyment by going to temporary heavenly planets. One may reach heavenly planets here for material enjoyment but there is no emphasis on the aspiration to go to spiritual world from here.
In Karma yoga however, there is a progressive path to something higher. Understanding of eternal goal is there in karma yoga. If the focus is on attaining both eternal and non-eternal then it is sakama karma yoga but if the focus is more on attaining the eternal, then it is nishkama karma yoga.
Hope this is clear.
In your service,
Ram Krishna Dasa
